  Men’s department!: Customer service at Nordstrom Oakbrook has gone down badly. What used to be a great experience is now met with impatience and rude attitudes from staff. It’s disappointing to see such a decline from a store known for its service—definitely needs improvement.

  I had a disappointing experience with the African American at this shoe store department. He across as snobby and somewhat rude, and the overall interaction didn’t feel welcoming. Good customer service makes a big difference, so I hope the staff can improve in this area.

  Had such a great experience at Nordstrom! I came in to purchase a gift and Betty went above and beyond. She was incredibly kind, found the perfect box, and wrapped everything beautifully without me even asking. It’s little touches like this that remind me why I love shopping at Nordstrom. Thank you, Betty, for making it such an easy and pleasant experience!

  Had the WORST experience at Nordstrom today! I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and they completely ruined me getting my first baby his stroller. They not only charged my account, but they also ran my card 3 more times and said that my card wasn’t approved because I wasn’t providing the “correct” zip code when I was. I called my bank and indeed the transaction went through. My husband then offered to pay in another form to which the young lady helping us refused saying that we couldn’t pay like that because the stroller was being “ordered” and they didn’t have it in stock. My bank went ahead and send me information on how to dispute the transaction but that’s beyond the point. It’s my first child and this experience totally ruined what was supposed to be a special moment for us. I was so upset, nauseated and completely lightheaded which lead me to check my glucose levels and they had plummeted 70 as I do suffer from gestational diabetes. The young lady “helping” us offered no aid and just walked away, proceeded to help others and left us at the register! I was baffled. I couldn’t believe Nordstrom would give me NO solution at all to this problem even after I provided proper documentation on how my card had been charged.

  I love the selection in the Nordstrom Oakbrook beauty department. However, the associates seem to visit with one another more than helping customers. I have wandered around the entire department without anyone asking if they can help me...until, I go to make a sample using the little cups that are available in each section. Then, the associates rush over like you are "stealing" the product! It is rather bothersome to get attention at the point when you have given up hope so you are helping yourself.
