Idk I think it was the manager but that lady needs to goš I was treated so weirdly by her at check out she acted so entitled it was insane and looked at me crazy when I said I donāt want a credit card by them! Like girl. Customer service is TERRIBLE! Such a nice store though! But they need new staff asap that was ridiculous!
Very unimpressed with my recent experience a few days ago..I used to come to this location all the time, I hadnāt been in probably over a year bc I moved but I WILL NEVER GO BACK. vibe was unsettling from the beginning just got stared at when walking in, no hi nothing. The girls were just talking. I asked for a fitting room they had an attitude. I went to check out & I overheard the other girl call her āAlmaā could be wrong but she needs to be talked to about basic politeness. No smile nothing. Apparently she is a manager of some sort? Idk how. Aerie do better.

Typically go to Pleasant Prairie Aerie for anything, but went to Gurnee Aerie due to needing to make returns at other stores at the mall. Went to the register and employee AM8965 did not say anything to me, told her I needed to do a returned while placing the bag on the counter. Hands were full at the time and she stood there just staring and only then wanted to move towards the bag after stating the receipt was in the bag. Didnāt say a single word to me after that. She needs an attitude adjustment ASAP or leave the job all together
The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. From the moment my sisters and I walked in, she followed us around the entire store and was whispering to her employees about us. She even trailed us OUT of the store, which was incredibly uncomfortable and unnecessary.
To make things worse, one of the employees forgot to remove a tag from a pair of leggings I bought, so I had to go back and get it removed. Instead of apologizing for their mistake, the manager treated me like I was doing something wrong. She demanded to see my receipt and stared at the numbers over and over like she didnāt believe I actually bought them. Not once did she say sorry for the inconvenience.
I spent a lot of money on four pairs of leggings just to be profiled and disrespected. Iāve never been treated so poorly in a store I was giving my business to. Booo she should get fired šš»šš»šš»

Tried to use my DSW employee discount (they are partner stores) had my ID and my employee numbers (which is all they need) but was told they canāt accept that because I donāt have my āemployee cardā, offered to show my employee account on my phone but was denied. So my friend who is also an employee went to use hers instead and just purchase everything instead but she was denied because āshe canāt purchase items not for herā even though she had all of her employee stuff like they wanted. We were told I would have to purchase at full price. We left the clothes on the counter and left. (It was 4 pairs of leggings)
Will not be returning to this Aerie ever again, coming from an employee of AEO/Designer brands
