I’m writing to share a safety concern regarding the entrance to the parking lot. Lately, a green Jeep has been parking on the white hashed lines immediately following the left-hand turn into the lot. As you likely know, Illinois vehicle code (625 ILCS 5/11-1303) prohibits parking in safety zones or areas that obstruct traffic flow, specifically to ensure visibility near entrances and stop signs. Because the Jeep is parked right on that curve, it creates a significant blind spot. It makes it very difficult for incoming customers to see oncoming traffic, and I’ve personally experienced a few "near-misses" trying to turn in safely. I know the security team is there to keep us safe, but the current parking spot is unfortunately doing the opposite by creating a collision risk at the entrance. I’d love to keep visiting without the stress of a potential fender-bender at the gate!
