  Long overdue post but I remembered to come back to write this because Windy City Diamonds were that fantastic to work with. Komal helped me find exactly what I was looking for in an engagement ring while also providing extremely competitive pricing options. My girlfriend at the time and now fiancé (soon to be wife) is still in love with her ring. I also went back to Windy City Diamonds to purchase my own wedding ring. If you're ever in Chicago's Jeweler Row and wondering where to buy jewelry or an engagement ring amongst the multitude of shops, this is the place to go.

  I had the best experience wedding ring shopping with Komal! All the staff are absolutely wonderful and made the experience amazing. Komal was happy to answer all my questions and helped me design the most amazing ring. The ring was finished earlier than promised and looks stunning! I cannot praise the wonderful ladies of Windy City Diamonds enough. If you’re shopping around for jewelers, look no further!! Highly highly recommend Komal and her team!

  just now New I took my diamond studs here to be reset in yellow gold (from white gold). They took them to the back and cleaned them and then “tested” them and told me that they were moissanite not diamond. I said I was pretty certain they were diamonds, but we bought them from a family friend who was a jeweler so no appraisal had been done. They said “no sorry you got scammed, but we can trade them in for you for the price of the gold and give you $100 off a real pair if you want”. I obviously didn’t do that (thank god) because there was a much bigger problem if I’d been scammed by the initial jeweler (as our family had bought several pieces from her). I ended up taking them to get appraised by a completely independent, third-party jeweler, and they were appraised for around $1200. So essentially they were trying to scam me out of $1200 earrings for $100 and the price of the gold. This is a review from a couple of years ago but I just realized it was deleted because the email associated with the review was deleted! I’m not sure if they were just trying to take advantage of me because I was a young woman who they assumed knew nothing, but I warn everyone I talk to against taking their jewelry here! Stay far away! Plenty of other honest jewelers on jewelers row! *update*- emailed that email a week ago and have yet to hear back unfortunately!

  Windy City Diamonds stood out to me from the beginning because they advertised that they had Peridots. I’ve been working with Rosemary for over a year now with anything ring related. She helped me find the perfect peridot ring to propose with. The service didn’t stop there, we met casually through the wedding planning phase to find the right band, my wedding ring and even a free cleaning of the rings the week of the wedding! She then was able to combine the ring and band together for a wonderful price. She has been so pleasant to work with through this whole process. Rosemary had an answer for every question, kept our budget in mind and delivered on every aspect of the process!

  My fiancé and I had a phenomenal experience at Windy City with Shiri Kassel. Our first foray with a different jeweler went abysmal - could not emphasize enough that going with a chain or franchise store has little to no benefits. The process with Siri was completely different. We were creative, we had fun, and we took our time (because we wanted to). The ring we ended with was phenomenal, and something we designed by hand. Shiri was super patient and never blinked when we wanted to go back to the drawing board on some side stones because our preferences changed. Cannot recommend enough going to a local jeweler, and if you're shopping in Chicago you must go see Siri!
