My experience visiting van cleef in Chicago was awful. I visited this location traveling from out of town Saturday October 4th around 12:45pm. The lady working that afternoon (foreign decent) stood in the doorway and asked me what I needed (refused to allow me to enter). I explained to her that I had called Van Cleef following a recent purchase of a necklace to get an extender added to make my necklace longer, I was instructed to visit a nearby store to receive further assistance. The lady then proceeds to shut the door leaving my children outside. I asked was there a problem she stated no but proceeds to tell me I could either leave my necklace there for two weeks or order an extender from AMAZON!!! why would I order a $5 extender for a $4000 necklace. It was very rude and discriminatory. I will be contacting corporate to further discuss my awful experience.

I’ve purchased multiple pieces of jewelry here and have had a great experience every time. Malena, Alex and the manager have all been great! I was even more surprised when Malena remembered my name and it’s been almost a year since I last visited! Wow!

I would give zero star to this store if I could. I bought a bracelet and it was sent for length adjustment. Four links were taken off. An appointment was needed for pick up and we were 20 minutes late due to traffic. At first we were not allowed to enter because we have passed the grace period. I have never see any luxury stores acting like strict university professors playing arrogant attitude to you. I have never imagined being treated in such a rude way after paying almost 20k. We finally got in after requesting talking to the supervisor. THE sale assistant who told us we could get in didn’t even greet nor offering seats to us. She was chatting with the security all the time. The most annoying part was she only brought one bottle of water when my husband asked for water and there were two of us.
The manager served us for the pick up and she told me the extra links were in the box. However, there were no links in the box when I opened it at home. I called the next day to ask and had to follow up again and was told by the same staff that the links were in the store. I am glad the problem was solved but the attitude of this sales was no different from the one before. WHY DO I CARE IF YOU ARE NOT MY CLIENT! Yeah, this is their attitude. Four gold links were missing and there is no apology! Not even a sorry. What is wrong with the VCA sales training? The basic manners are missing here. All the arrogance and indifference just brings up your brand. Shame, shame, shame.

Extremely rude sales associates here. I purchased a vancleef bracelet and called to ask for a digital receipt and the sales associated was extremely rude and said that an “invoice” was not generated. She then said that she couldn’t send me a receipt for the item.
After spending 6700 you would think that you would be met with better customer service. NEVER shopping here again and I recommend everyone to go to a different store.
