  I’m disappointed to say this experience fell far short of what I’ve come to expect from this store. I called the store on 12/27/25 at 11:16 AM with a 2 simple questions and spoke with a lady who, while technically answering them, came across as extremely arrogant and uninterested in helping. I specifically asked whether the rubber dots - which I was corrected as "pebbles" or "Gommini" - on the shoes could be replaced once worn out, or if I would need to purchase an entirely new pair. Her response felt rehearsed, dismissive, and not genuine—like she’d answered the question too many times and had no patience left. What made it worse was the tone. She made me feel foolish for even asking, as if I should already know that the rubber pebbles on Tod's driving shoes are individually placed into the sole by hand by skilled artisans in Italy. That kind of information could have been shared in a helpful, educational way instead of in a condescending one. To be fair, I’ve been in the store before and received excellent service from a green sales associate who was genuinely kind, patient, and clearly cared about helping customers. Everyone can have a bad day—but customer service, especially over the phone, should never make someone feel talked down to. Unfortunately, that’s exactly how this interaction felt. The Gommino loafers, however, are incredible and most likely best in class.
