  Walked the men's department wednesday night seven p m for thirty minutes and was never greeted by any Nordstrom employee. There were a smattering of customers. And an ample number of sales clerks, but I didn't see any of them engaging customers.

  I had a fabulous experience with a frustrating issue! I had purchased four gift cards for my kids in Denver! When my children tried to redeem them, two had been hacked by someone (probably an employee) and they showed zero balance. Thanks to the Manager in the Gift Returns department at the Nordstrom’s in Chicago, the two cards were re-issued! Briana spent an hour investigating the situation and made my visit to the windy city a pleasant one! Brianna Staggers, you are a gem! Thank you!

  This is a great Nordstroms. My wife can shop and I can go to the 2nd floor bar and have a drunk and watch football. We travel to Chicago between the Christmas and New Year holiday and we always go to Nordstrom. Fellas great place to have a drink and watch some sports.

  If I could rate the LV store a negative star, I would. I wish I had read these reviews before I went to this store. I had a worst experience on this store. The customer service of this store was horrible. I went to accompany with my sister to get a new LV bag. While she was deciding on which purse she would purchased, one purse had caught my attention. I’ve asked a sales lady for the price because there was no price tag on the bag. It took her a while to look at me. When she finally did, she told me to step back. I’m a proud owner of a few LV bags, but the way this sales lady treated me, I really don’t want to be! She was very rude, and the way she told me to, “Step back,” motioned her hand as if she was shooing me away, then scan the bag or do whatever she had to do to check the price was very unprofessional! I wanted to get that bag, but I ended up going to Chanel to buy a bag there…I really wish I knew the name of that sales lady! She needs to take up a training on “Customer service,” so she can be better in this profession! I’m not saying customer is always right, but when a customer, (like me), ask for a price of a certain bag, don’t shoo them away…I think we were there at around 7PM, (on December 29, Monday), I don’t wish for this sales lady to lose her job or anything bad, but I do wish that she gets trained in “Customer service!” The reasons why I wish that she would go to these types of trainings are because she made me feel like I was going to steal the purse/bag, she made me feel like I can’t afford the purse/bag, she didn’t want me to purchase the purse/bag, and other reasons.

  Nordstrom used to be renowned for its customer service - for the past year since returning to Chicago, I have found the customer experience dept to be understaffed and underwhelming for the most part - lines are unacceptably long and it bears no relation to the Holiday Season - Bloomingdales, on the other hand has an excellent customer experience dept and the associates are very efficient welcoming and extremely helpful. They always have at least two associates to handle pickups and returns and customers are greeted with a smile. I live in the neighborhood of both and if items are available at Bloomingdales I purchase there without hesitation.
