  Had a very bad experience at the Max Mara store today. The sales was a short guy and I don’t know his name. He was very arrogant and rude when serving me. I only tried one, yes, one Madame coat and it doesn’t look good on me. I said in a polite way:” it is good but doesn’t impress me that much. Maybe it is not my style. I would like to try others.” He replied:”then I don’t know what else will impress you.” I am a 5’7” and he gave me a size 2 to try on. Not professional at all. After hearing what he said, I am feeling deeply offended so I decided to leave. There was not even a “goodbye” from him nor other sales. I can’t imagine max mara has become such a notorious store after reading other unpleasant experiences at this store. I will purchase from NM then.

  I went in with my family to eye shop today and got greeted at the door by a short man asking if we were looking for anything but we weren’t until I saw a super cute long coat. My mother got excited on my behalf and started bringing me coats and we tried them on in the corner. We asked the guy who greeted us at the door if there were smaller sizes or any shorter coats but he replied very passive aggressively while scolding us that we started trying on coats without asking him and we shouldn’t have done that. I felt super annoyed and baffled how a sales associate would ever do that. It was unprofessional. I would never treat a customer like that as I am a sales associate as well. We were being mindful and enjoying everything until that moment. I really hope he changes his attitude and doesn’t get butthurt when a customer says it’s okay if we don’t need help at the moment….

  I do remember times where there was good selection and good service. Over the course of the years boutique become not a good place. Above how I view my latter experience. Purchased grey classic pants over 1 k price, took my time to try on, they had to be shortened. I had interesting experience before when their seamstress name Maria screwed up similar job on other pair and one of my dresses, dress had to be redone, and pants I had to return. To my surprise, she was not let go, so I asked sale associate to check her work before calling me . Am getting item in 2 weeks- awful work. Little alteration place by me did better work on hem. Stitch shall not be visible. Professionally done. Requested re do and deliver w messenger at 6p, as have to leave to workshop .At 6 :10 messenger was not here. Overall , bad management, not professional alterations, and colossal waste of my time and money. Never again. Pls see attached pic. I can just imagine if seamstress do that work on hem, how bad she can screw up more complex things.

  Never purchase anything here if you're a tourist! I have never experienced such poor service from a luxury fashion brand. Four weeks ago, I was in the United States and purchased a pair of heels worth $975. They had a manufacturing defect and completely broke after wearing them for just 10 minutes. I contacted the store, and they initially gave me a hard time because I didn't have the receipt. Eventually, with the help of the Chicago store, I was able to retrieve the receipt and forwarded it to MaxMara customer service. Now they claim they are unable to assist me due to complications between the US and Europe—despite the fact that it's the same parent company. This is outright fraud; they are nothing but thieves.
