Service was extremely disappointing. I purchased a shirt specifically for an important dinner in December. Jo Marie at the Chicago location on Michigan Ave location was assigned to assist me, but communication throughout the process was poor.
Despite placing my order more than two weeks in advance and completing everything required on my end on time, the experience fell far below expectations. When I went to pick up the shirt on the day I needed it for my event, I was informed that the tailor, who had reportedly been brought in a week earlier for alterations was closed for the year. This was never communicated in advance.
None of the promises made regarding timing or readiness were kept. This is the most disappointing experience I have had at any Louis Vuitton location. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this location to others.

I had the pleasure of meeting Helene Z (Miss Z) this past weekend, and she was absolutely amazing. My fiancé and I initially came in just to browse the Louis Vuitton store on Michigan Avenue, and we were paired with Miss Z - and I’m so glad we were.
From the very beginning, she was incredibly helpful, kind, and genuinely fun to shop with. She took the time to walk us through the store and even brought out pieces that we didn’t see on the floor. We ended up finding the perfect pair of heels and mules, and the entire process was seamless and enjoyable.
We exchanged contact information, and later that evening I reached out to her about another item. She responded right away with availability and thoughtful suggestions from the new collection. Through our conversation, we found the perfect piece, which led us to drive back downtown the very next day just to shop with her again. When we arrived, she greeted us warmly and already had the item we discussed set out and ready for us to view.
We explored a few options and ultimately purchased a beautiful Speedy 25 along with a few additional pieces. Everything was packaged thoughtfully, and she even followed up with us the next day. The entire experience was truly exceptional.
I would give this experience an 11/10. Miss Z’s kindness, attentiveness, and bubbly personality made our time at Louis Vuitton genuinely memorable. We recently moved to Chicago, and now I know I have someone I trust at the Michigan Avenue location. Anytime I’m looking to make another purchase, I will absolutely be reaching out to Miss Z. Overall, an outstanding experience.

We have visited 3 LV locations in the past month, the fact that LV does advertise complimentary hot stamping for small leather goods and luggage tags and engraving for fragrance bottles as a standard service. However, the actual in-store experience often fails to meet our expectations due to the operational inconsistencies we encountered. The store mgr Olivia non verbal and verbal communication let us know that we were not welcome. We were prepared to make our purchases and decided not to after our experience.
We counted a minimum of 15 sales associates and they were all standing around talking amongst themselves, minimal attention to the clients.

Truly disappointed. This was my very first LV experience. My very first purchase, also. I expected to be greeted and treated with the out most respect, not treated like we don’t belong there. Some people had glasses of water and were very catered too, as long as you got a good sales rep. I understand some people come in there just to look, and others come in to buy. At the end of the day it truly shouldn’t matter though. Our sales rep just walked up and asked how he can help us. Didn’t greet us friendly, didn’t welcome us, didn’t introduce himself.
We didn’t get asked what we were looking for nothing. I pointed out the bag I wanted to try on. He got it out(no gloves on like other sales reps,) attached and strap and handed it to me. Didn’t offer insight, didn’t ask if I had questions, didn’t offer suggestions or input. Other sales reps around the store were doing that so that is what we expected. I took the bag off and asked him to keep it out for a few, because I wanted to know the price of one other bag I had eyed. He told me the price and that was that. Didn’t ask me if I wanted to try or say anything about it. Not once asked us if we had questions about the bag or experience or what exactly we were looking for, just stood there like he was miserable at his job. Extremely disappointed. Getting your very first LV should be an amazing experience that you should proudly remember forever. Not everyone who has them has the ability to buy a ton of them like others. So it’s heart breaking this had to be my first experience. Not a pleasant one that makes me want to come back or buy more in general. Sales reps for these stores should be held at very high standards for customer service AND appearance! Makes me want to return my purse and buy else where, where I will be valued and appreciated which stinks because I love my new purse so much. I was excited to start my collection!

I live in a city that is about 8 hrs outside of Chicago in another state. I personally visited this location earlier this year and was courteously greeted by Cody Ford as soon as I entered. My experience with Cody was so exceptional that it was a pleasure for me to conduct business with him that day. I knew then that I would look to do business with him in the future, again.
Earlier this week, while at home, I decided to make another purchase with Louis Vuitton. Rather than complete my purchase on the brand's website online, I reached out to Cody Ford via text/ email concerning the two items I planned to purchase. His response was timely and professional. He made the entire experience just as seamless as it would have been had I completed the transaction online, without the help of a salesperson.
