We strongly recommend scheduling an appointment. Doing so will allow our sales representatives to prepare diamonds or gemstones in your budget range and according to your specifications. This also ensures someone is available to help with your questions and show you diamonds and rings from our cases. However, we are able to accommodate walk-ins into our store and will do our best to accommodate you.

Are All of Your Diamonds from Your Website Available to View in Person at Your Store?
dimend SCAASI hand-picks our vendors to upload their inventory onto our website from all over the world. This allows us to offer a huge selection of diamonds in every shape, color, clarity, and cut grade to our customers. For viewing diamonds in our store, we are limited to what is locally accessible through our local vendors and our own inventory. This means that when you come in, we will have a wide variety to show you, but not every single diamond shown on our website is available to view in person.
Can I Place a Hold on a Diamond You Offer?
dimend SCAASI Jeweler is a stress-free no pressure environment. Our diamonds are available as first-come first-served basis. If you like a diamond you see listed on our site, buy it with confidence — you are always welcome to swap it for another diamond we offer without a loss.
Are Your Diamonds Conflict Free?
dimend SCAASI has zero tolerance policy towards conflict diamonds. We fully support the Kimberly Process which tracks diamonds from mine to market. At dimend SCAASI, we only purchase diamonds from the most respected diamond suppliers who, like us, enforce the standards established by the Kimberley Process. All dimend SCAASI diamonds are warranted to be conflict free. We also offer lab grown diamonds.
What Does the Term “Eye-Clean Diamond” Mean?
In the diamond industry, the term “eye-clean” refers to a diamond that, when held approximately 10 inches away from you and viewed face-up, does not exhibit visible inclusions.
How Do I Know the Diamond I Receive is the One I Purchased?
For your protection and safety, our diamonds are laser inscribed with your certificate number, which is viewable under magnification on the Girdle of your diamond.
It Looks Like There’s a Crack on the Side of My Diamond

It is important to note that this occurrence is common in almost every diamond shape and should not be a cause for concern.
What Side Diamonds Do You Set in Your Engagement Rings?
When the center stone is a mined diamond, the ring is set with mined side diamonds. If the center is lab grown, then the ring is set with lab grown side diamonds (excluding some fancy shapes).
Do You Insure Jewelry?
Although dimend SCAASI does not insure Jewelry, we provide you with an Appraisal which can be used to obtain insurance coverage. We recommend Jewelers Mutual, a highly regarded, dedicated Jewelry insurance company since 1913.
Do You Provide Insurance Appraisals?
We do offer appraisals for a small fee. This is the paperwork you will need when you insure your jewelry.
How Often Should My Jewelry Be Cleaned?
Engaging in regular preventative maintenance for your jewelry is highly recommended. It is advisable to take your jewelry for professional inspection and cleaning once or twice a year, with twice a year being the optimal frequency to address minor issues before they escalate into major problems. Fortunately, cleaning your jewelry at home is a simple process that does not require any extravagant materials. A mild solution of water and dish soap is sufficient to eliminate most dirt and debris from platinum, gold, or silver jewelry.
Can My Ring Be Resized?
Absolutely! In general, most precious metal rings can be resized to make them larger or smaller according to your preference. However, certain factors such as blended metals, stones encircling the entire band, and vintage rings may require a case-by-case evaluation to determine the feasibility of resizing. Rest assured, our experts will carefully assess these unique circumstances to provide the best possible solution for your specific ring.

Yes! We can fix most precious jewelry.
Do You Offer Financing?
We offer financing through Affirm. You can fill out the application through our site at the checkout and Affirm will determine what financing amount you will receive. Rates are between 10-36% APR. A down payment may be required. Subject to eligibility check and approval. Payment options depend on your purchase amount. Estimated payment amount excludes taxes and shipping fees.
When Do I Pay?
All orders require upfront payment. If you choose to initiate an order by paying only the CAD fee, the fee amounts to $350. Should you decide to proceed, this fee will be applied towards your total payment. In this type of transaction, the remaining amount is due upon approval of the CAD images, indicating your readiness to proceed with production. Please note that dimend SCAASI Jeweler retains the rights to all CAD design work, and we regret that we are unable to transfer the original CAD production file.

We are pleased to offer you the first sizing free of charge within the first year of receiving your item, subject to eligibility. Simply reach out to us, and we will provide you with a pre-paid shipping label for the process. Please note that if multiple sizings are required, a fee will be applicable. For international orders, shipping charges will apply. During our 30-day return policy, if your ring needs to be re-manufactured and the cost remains the same as the original, there will be no additional charge. However, outside of the 30-day window but within the one-year period for re-sizing, a fee will apply. Kindly note that each item is meticulously crafted from scratch and hand-polished, so slight variations from the original may occur. Eternity bands cannot be resized as they need to be entirely re-created. Certain ring styles may have limitations on sizing due to design or multiple size requirements. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure the correct size is ordered at the time of purchase. For first-time purchases, full refunds or store credit can be arranged, excluding setting labor charges on customer-provided diamonds, rush fees, and appraisal charges. What is Your Return Policy?
Your online purchase can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of receiving your merchandise — excluding setting labor charges on customer provided diamonds, rush fees and appraisal charges. We will provide you with a free return label. In-store purchases and custom orders are only eligible for exchange or store credit. What Does Your Warranty Cover?
At dimend SCAASI Jeweler, we provide a lifetime warranty specifically covering manufacturing defects, separate from normal wear and tear. It is important to note that if any work is performed on our rings by another jeweler, it will void the warranty we offer. We cannot assume responsibility for any modifications or repairs conducted by a different jeweler.

Do You Offer An Upgrade Policy?
For Mined Diamonds: Our Ideal Triple Excellent Cut Grade certified mined round diamonds can be upgraded towards a mined diamond replacement of at least 2X greater value. Simply send or bring your diamond to us with its original Lab report and choose your new diamond, then pay the difference. If your new diamond is of a lesser value, you will receive a store credit for the remaining balance. In the event of market decline, your diamond will retain comparable value towards the upgrade. For Lab Grown Diamonds: Our lab grown certified diamonds can be upgraded towards a lab grown diamond replacement of at least 2X or greater value. Simply bring in or send your diamond to us with its original Lab report and choose your new diamond, then pay the difference. In the event of market decline, your diamond will retain comparable value towards the upgrade. Full market value is to be no greater than the original purchase price.
Do You Have Rings I Can Buy and Leave With Same Day?
Our store does have a wide selection of rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets that you can pay for and leave with same day. With wedding bands, if it can be sized and it is in the correct style and metal you want, we can usually deliver the rings from our cases. Concerning engagement rings, the styles in our cases are samples that we place orders off of with our workshops. We like to start from scratch for your finger size and metal requirements and for your stone shape and carat weight. It’s better for the integrity of the ring.
How Can I Figure Out Ring Size? For Him? For Her?
dimend SCAASI Jeweler offers free finger sizer. You can request a printable ring sizer from us on our website. Wider rings usually translate to needing a larger finger size than a thin ring. There isn’t a formula for this, but in general, depending on the width, the finger size will need to be ¼ – ½ larger if the band is wide and you were sized with a thin finger sizer. Comfort fit also makes a band fit larger.
Does dimend SCAASI Offer Custom Designs?
Yes! dimend SCAASI Jeweler is a designer of fine Jewelry in Chicago. Since most of our rings start out with CAD technology, we can accommodate most requests. Our fee for CAD creations starts at $350 and up, depending on the complexity of the rings. dimend SCAASI does not duplicate designer rings out of respect to other designers’ intellectual property.
Can I Make Changes to an Existing Style on Your Website?
Yes! Most of our pieces are made to order, so you can change an existing style, combine existing styles, or you can send us an image of a style you don’t see on our website and we can give you a quote! You don’t pay extra for the customization — only for the parts: metal, labor, and diamonds (if any). Contact Us.
Can I Purchase a Setting Without the Main Diamond if I Already Have One?
No, at this time we only sell our settings with an accompanied diamond purchased from us.
Can I Purchase a Diamond from dimend SCAASI and Have it Set Into My Own Setting?
If you plan on purchasing a loose diamond from us to be set into a setting not created by dimend SCAASI, please inspect your loose diamond prior to having it set. It’s best to have a setting created by dimend SCAASI since our ring styles are made to order for your diamond’s exact dimensions and are set by expert setters. Therefore, if a diamond is set by another jeweler into a setting that dimend SCAASI did not create, the diamond is non-returnable.
Does dimend SCAASI Purchase Jewelry Not Purchased from its Store?
We do not buy back jewelry because we do not sell previously worn items. dimend SCAASI Jeweler is a custom design house so everything we create starts from scratch. However, if you have gold you wish to sell, we can give you a very fair scrap value for the gold based on the daily market.
