My issue is specifically with the Blick specific art line. Over the years the quality of blick items has gone down significantly. I urge beginners of any art/hobby to spend a little extra and avoid blick branded items. I find the quality is often so bad it makes starting out even more difficult. For instance Blick branded cone 6 clay is impossible to throw or hand build with. The block printing ink is nearly impossible for an experienced printer to get a good print from. The acrylic paint has a terrible consistency and coverage (as well as the color mix is weird). For beginners and experienced artists alike a suggest spending the few extra dollars and saving yourself the headache - avoid blick labeled art supplies when possible.
