  I went to Jr crew aurora today. What a freaking mistake. I was trying to exchange a sweater my husband received as a Xmas present. First there a 5 employees and maybe one other customer.. I asked if I could please just switch the shirt for a different color..they asked for a gift receipt, it was a present so no.. the tags were still on the shirt and visually brand new.. so they said there is one online I said great ship it go my house - I’ll pay for shipping if need. A manger stepped in and said you can only exchange for something in the store. So I found a shirt did the exchange- walked to the front only to find the seater in other colors and I asked politely to exchange to that - flat out —NO. The exchange is final you cannot change that even for the same price— WHAT HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

  I walked in looking for black sandals and no one offered to help. I asked someone who was training if he could tell me where I could find the shoe, since they don't have the inventory near the display, and he said he would get someone to help me near the front of the store. I waited but no one ever came. I finally found what I was looking for but they didnt have my size or the prize in a visible spot either so I wasted time and effort for nothing. On a side note their summer dresses looked cheap, most of them weren't even lined, we can find the same value at other stores without paying the "J.Crew" price.

  I went to J.Crew for a few items I had seen on the website. When I walked in, several store associates looked at me but never spoke. I saw the same associates greeting other customers, asking to start fitting rooms, and just having a regular conversation. I assume maybe it was because I looked like I already knew what I wanted. I actually couldn't find a few sizes in a few items. It would've been nice if somebody would've asked if they could help. I guess it ended up working out better for me in the long run. I went over to banana republic and Brooks Brothers and received exceptional customer service and I was able to purchase all of the things I need for my upcoming vacation. If I have to give one piece of advice to the staff at J.Crew, it would be to treat each and every guess the same. Or at least make it seem like you're pretending to.
