  Went to Cabellas for a couple specific things. Usually it's an uncomplicated visit. This time, though, people were trying to sign us up for credit cards, hotel time shares, etc. I winced when someone walked up to talk because half the employees were trying to sell stuff that's not on the rack. It was like walking onto a car lot. I think I'll time my next visit differently if I need to go there.

  It is sad to see a great company slowly get ruined by another Bass Pro Shop should just rebrand them as they have cheap bass pro stuff in the store.

  lame. you can stand at the gun counter for 30 minutes waiting for someone, not browsing but actually waiting, and the fuds in there won't give you the time of day. nevermind I will continue going to North Idaho Arms for my gun purchases.

  Love this place, we all know about the quality clothing and the massive selection of sporting goods. From camping, fishing, BBQ, hunting, archery, and so much more. But did you know that inside this store is an aquarium? YES! An actual aquarium with real fish. Also bring your quarters because there is a laser target shoot game. Just like the old school BB ones, but with laser lights. Don't forget the snacks for the ride home or for cooking when you get home. Definitely recommend Cabela's

  As a thriller and romance author, I’m always paying attention to atmosphere and scale, and Cabela’s makes an impression the moment you walk in. This is one of the largest Cabela’s stores I’ve ever been in. The entrance is dramatic, with geese suspended overhead and a massive mountain display in the center of the store featuring wildlife mounts arranged across rock and timber. It feels less like a retail space and more like stepping into an indoor wilderness exhibit. The fishing section is enormous. The camping section is just as big. The archery area is well stocked, and the firearm section is extensive. It’s the kind of place where you can wander for a long time and still feel like you haven’t seen everything. There’s even a vintage-style laser shooting arcade game in the back that adds a fun, unexpected touch. What stands out most is the scale and layout. Everything feels oversized in a good way. Wide aisles. Tall ceilings. Big displays. It has presence. As someone who writes thrillers and romance built around adventure and the outdoors, I can’t help but imagine scenes forming in a place like this. The central mountain display alone feels cinematic. It’s easy to see how a story could start here. Cabela’s in Post Falls isn’t just another outdoor store. It’s an experience. Large, dramatic, and packed with gear for just about any outdoor pursuit.
