Cashier was super friendly. Asked if the manager was close, I walked to the manager after the purchase and let him know the great service. He was also great. I am in retail and honestly felt appreciated shopping here. Great job Cedar Falls Scheels! You are spot on with customer service!

Not knowing my husband already had it when I bought it. So I wanted to buy him a Kimber hand gun for Christmas instead. He came out and told me I can’t buy it. So you willingly let me walk out the door with an AR but wouldn’t let me purchase the hand gun. His reason being that my ID was not valid. Which I’m here for two weeks for a welding job. And I live in council bluffs. My ID did not say Waterloo so he wouldn’t sell me the gun. Which is completely wrong. Regardless council bluffs is in Iowa. So legally I can purchase a fire arm. I had guys there standing up for me trying to tell Craig he’s not listening to my full story. But after he raised his voice with me I did back. And at that point I know I was screwed for buying a fire arm. I just didn’t appreciate him raising his voice with me and yelling at the ONLY girl in the gun section. Acting like I’m an idiot and I’m not. I went and bought the gun and another one at another local store just down the road. No problem at all. They actually laughed at how dumb Craig was for treating me that way.

When my husband came home before me he knew that he was getting something striker. Like why do that. So dumb! Ship stuff in a plain brown box!! This is something they should change.
- RLRich LensNov 9, 20255.0Went in shopping for a hiking boot for our 10 year old grandson. The department was busy, but a manager found us a wonderful employee to help us. She wasn't able to find us a kids boot, but we did find a neutral colored boot in womens that he loved. Since she did so well with him, we both also got hiking boots and Maddie stayed with even going all the way across the store to the men's department. She was amazing. Her name tag said she worked in a different department, but clearly she knows other areas. She even walked us up to the register.
