  I visited Deacons today and had an excellent experience with James in the Rolex department. From the outset, James’s passion for watches and the Rolex brand was clear. His knowledge was exceptional, but what impressed me most was his honesty and the time he took to genuinely listen to what I was looking for. There was never any pressure to purchase what was available. Instead, the conversation was focused on finding the right watch for me and understanding what I’d like to build towards in the future. We spoke openly about the current market, availability and a number of different pieces. James was incredibly helpful and transparent throughout, which made the whole experience feel personal rather than transactional. For me, buying a watch, particularly at this level, is about more than a single purchase. I want to build a collection over time, with certain pieces hopefully marking important milestones and occasions. After my experience today, I can absolutely see myself building a long-term relationship with James and Deacons and making them my first choice for watches going forward. The level of service, knowledge and genuine enthusiasm I experienced today really stood out. I left without purchasing a watch on this occasion, but importantly, I left feeling even more confident that Deacons is where I’d like to purchase my next one. A fantastic experience from start to finish. Thank you again to James and the team at Deacons. I look forward to dealing with you for many years to come.

  Unfortunately they never Reply! Have visited 2 times in the Last 6 Months for Updates and Still haven't received a reply! I can only Guess Rolex UK are Closing Many Rolex Outlets for Boutiques only that sell Rolex so it will be interesting to see what happens with Deacons in the Future!

  I've been into Deacons a few times now, but this review is really about two people who made the experience feel completely different from a typical AD visit — Mariah and James. Mariah helped me get my first Rolex, the GMT-Master II Root Beer, and from that first conversation she never once made me feel like I was just another name on a waiting list. She actually listened to what I wanted rather than just pushing what was in stock, and she's clearly the one holding the whole store together — you can tell the rest of the team follow her lead. Yesterday, Mariah and James together helped me get a watch I genuinely didn't expect to walk out with — a piece I thought was 12 months out. James took the time to have a proper chat rather than a sales pitch, and when I asked if there was any chance of getting it sooner, he and Mariah made it happen without any of the usual "let me check the system" runaround. What stands out most is that neither of them ever treated me like a transaction or a purchase history. It felt like walking into a shop where people actually know you and want to see you happy with what you're buying, not just closing a sale. That's rare, and it's the reason I'll keep going back. Thank you both — genuinely made me feel like family. A big shout out also to Richard who is an amazing gentlemen, thank you for inviting me for the event and cricket matches ...

  Tremendous work by this fabulous team has resulted in the most wonderful bespoke ring being created. I gathered up all my old gold chains which were sat in bottom of my jewellery box alongside two diamond rings which I've had for years and worn but now white gold bands were tarnished and one was broken. Spoke to the lovely Alvilde at Deacons and started the process to have a bespoke ring designed and made. What a great experience! From the initial chat about ideas, thoughts, practical needs, Alvilde understood and helped shape. Digital design followed, some feedback from me (minor as it was already looking great), then onto production. Selection of a centre Morganite stone was a great point in the process (fascinating to see so many variations of colour). Final ring is so pretty, comfortable to wear and beautifully crafted. Cost wise, old gold was valued and offset against ring cost, balance due all agreed up front so no hidden surprises and really good value considering the consultations and hands on craftsmanship. I cannot recommend this service and team highly enough, a wonderful way to breathe new life into jewellery and ensure it is worn vs sat in the dark!

  This review comes with a caveat. I’m aware that Deacons is a bit of a Swindon institution and really important to the town. Lots of other reviews on here show how highly people rate the firm. That’s great and makes me hopeful that my experience was a one off. A while back I took my old Breitling watch in to have a link or two put onto the strap so that my son could start wearing it. They quickly did that but when it came to pay, the woman who had done the repair told me that the watch needed some extra work to the strap/face joints before bluntly dropping the bombshell that the watch was fake anyway. She seemed surprised when I questioned if that was really the case. I was made to feel a bit of an idiot for not accepting her judgement given she was the expert. I explained that the watch was a gift from my late father some 30 years ago and I used to have the official yellow box and documents but no longer knew where they were. She shrugged, and repeated that it wasn’t genuine. The whole interaction really made me feel quite uncomfortable given the sentimentality connected to a watch that meant a lot to me. Weeks later I spoke to the jewellers in Bristol where the watch was bought but it’s now under different management and they don’t specialise in Breitlings so they suggested I send it to the company itself to be inspected. So that’s what I did and they’ve confirmed it is indeed genuine and are happy to carry out the repairs to bring it back to its former glory. They also said that the aforementioned links were put in incorrectly. I don’t wish to gloat that the shop was wrong and I rarely moan about poor service because most people are doing their best but the whole episode shook me a bit and I wouldn’t go back. I think more than anything, it’s a reminder that the way you speak to people is really really important. There’s a huge difference between a warmly delivered ‘I might well be wrong but in my opinion your lovely old and well-worn watch could be a fake’ and coldly telling a customer ‘It’s fake.’ Essay over. Happy timepiece shopping.
