Went in today and asked the lady working in the women’s section a question. I first needed to grab her attention as she was on the phone clearly taking a personal call and then as I was walking away she carried on her call stating “how annoying is that…” coincidental maybe but very rude. She was the only staff member up there in the first place so isn’t like I could have asked anyone else. Very disappointing.
I visited New Look today for some shopping and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with a member of your staff.
I arrived at the store shortly before closing time and purchased a pair of high heels. After paying for my purchase, I stood near the side for a moment to adjust the strap on my sandal. At that point, one of your staff members told me to exit the store," even though it was not yet closing time as customers are still on billing.
I found the way I was spoken to very rude and disrespectful, and I felt embarrassed in front of other customers. I understand that staff may be preparing to close the store, but customers should still be treated with courtesy and respect until the store officially closes.
I hope you will remind your staff of the importance of providing polite and professional customer service so that other customers do not have a similar experience.
If you are heading down Regent Crescent at the Trafford Centre looking for an affordable wardrobe refresh, New Look is always a reliable pit stop. It sits comfortably in that mid-range sweet spot—not quite as trend-setting or fast-moving as Zara, but definitely a bit friendlier on the wallet.
The Good Stuff
The layout of this specific branch is quite spacious compared to smaller high-street plots, meaning you can actually navigate the aisles without knocking into clothing rails—at least on a quiet weekday morning. The footwear and accessories sections are a particular highlight here; they are consistently well-stocked, and it’s easy to find standard staples or a quick pair of heels for a night out in Manchester. The 9-to-9 opening hours during the week also make it a brilliant option for a stress-free after-work dash when the rest of the mall quietens down.
The Not-So-Good Stuff
However, the experience definitely takes a hit if you visit during peak Saturday afternoon madness. Because it's a popular spot for teenagers and families alike, the fitting rooms can accumulate massive queues. On my last visit, only a few cubicles were open despite the line stretching out into the formal wear section.
Additionally, the stock rotation can sometimes feel a bit messy. You will occasionally find items off their hangers or sizes entirely mixed up on the rails, which means you have to do some serious digging. The staff are generally polite but often seem stretched thin and slightly overwhelmed by the sheer volume of customers, so don't expect highly attentive service.
The Verdict
Overall, it’s a perfectly fine, average retail experience. It delivers exactly what you expect from New Look: decent, budget-friendly fashion. Just try to avoid the peak weekend rush if you value your sanity and hate queuing for the tills.

Quite disappointed by the lack of diversity and inclusion at this new look. Fully white , certain sized models. Would be useful for the company to try and ensure they are representative of the community they are in.
