  WENT FOR MASCARA LEFT WITH MASCARA ADJACENT EXISTENTIAL CRISIS AND A NEW HERO! This afternoon, (5 May 26)on a muggy Guildford afternoon so thick you could bottle it, I popped into TK Maxx with a simple mission: one mascara. Just one. Clean, clinical, swift. SPOILER: I left with no mascara. INITIAL DISAPPOINTMENT LEVEL: Mild But then, as one does in the hallowed aisles of discount chaos, (slight exaggeration here because the store was clean and orderly) I acquired several items I had absolutely no business buying. A *scented candle shaped like a frown? Possibly. A *thing for the kitchen I don’t understand? Almost maybe. Cue small wave of post-retail shame. And then.... plot twist... I met Winsome! Winsome didn’t just serve me. She airlifted me out of my muggy, mascara-less, buyer’s-remorse swamp. Her energy was sparkling, her politeness genuinely disarming (not the synthetic rehearsed kind), and she took the time to explain aftercare for my impulsive purchases like an actual angel who cares about product longevity. Who does that? Winsome, apparently! She turned my bad mood into a good one faster than you can say “why did I buy this *leather-look placemat?” TK Maxx Guildford, you have a gem. Winsome is a breath of fresh air in a stuffy afternoon and a reminder that service with a soul still exists. I came in for eyelash paint. I left with restored faith in humanity and 5 things I definitely don’t need. Give that woman a raise, or at least a very nice cup of tea and some biscuits (the good ones). She’s earned it. *Not real products purchased

  Found some decent bargains in this store; some hair gel and a brush. Didn’t have a look at other stuff as I didn’t need anything else. Good selection of hair and beauty products as well for both men and women.
