  We bought a Boss watch for my son's birthday and the lady encouraged us to take out a protection policy, which we did. The watch strap never felt quite right and the fastenings seemed to come out. As we had the policy I took it to the shop to be looked at. We were seen by a really friendly colleague who looked at the watch and said it would be around £100 to repair. We explained we had the policy and he said that the watch would be sent off but there would be nothing to pay. I recieved an email a good few weeks later saying that the watch required a new bracelet and it would ve £150 to replace. I called customer services who informed me that the watch hadnt been logged properly not showing that we had a policy in place. The lady from was really helpful and said that she was going to email the store and it would all be sorted out. She said that because of the Initial findings that the fastenings on the watch appeared almost too big it would be covered under the warranty and there wouldn't be anything to pay. I received a call from Debbie at Goldsmiths in meadowhall who argued that the watch wasn't covered under the policy. I explained that I had spoken to head office who said it was but she still continued to argue that it wasn't. She made it stressful and difficult and said she would speak to the lady I spoke to (Alison) but it wouldn't get sorted until the following week because of the bank holiday. I looked further in to the warranty and could see that the watch was most definitely covered so I telephoned Debbie back. Again, the conversation was difficult but she said that if I said my son had 'dropped' his watch (which he hadn't) then she would put that on the form and it would be sent off again. I received an email a few days later saying the watch was ready for collection. The two gentleman staff that we saw were great and attentive and there was no further bother. It is such a shame that one individual made the process extremely hard for something that should have been straight forward and simple.
