  Visited TKMaxx City gate today 6/6/26 around 3.30ish to return online purchases. I was amazed the behaviour of a lady in the counter she hasn't check the return items code,straigthaway argued that the stuff do not have a plastic code replied to her to scanned the transaction code on the full receipt plus the online picture to show the prices on my phone, continue to argue. I was not pleased at all, as on queue long enough plus dog waiting in my car. If she has scanned the code on the full receipt and the small code on the left side of the receipt plus the pics from my phone that should be enough to clear the items. Now I have to go to Oracle tkmaxx to return this stuff...for 21yrs shopping at tkmaxx never met an employee as argumentative as her, on duty, very very disappointed indeed!!!

  I had a very disappointing experience at the TK Maxx store in Reading this evening. We entered the store a few minutes before 7pm, and a tall, thin female staff member approached us and loudly said, “We are closed.” Her tone was extremely rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. It genuinely felt discriminatory and racist towards us because we are Asian. We explained that perhaps we had not heard the security staff informing customers about closing time. I then politely told the security guard that the staff member had been rude and that I wanted to give feedback. When I later tried to calmly explain to the staff member that she could have spoken more politely and softly about the store closing, she dismissively threw her hands in the air and repeated, “Store closed.” Her attitude was disrespectful and unacceptable. When I asked for her name so I could raise the matter with management, she walked away and refused to provide it. I understand stores need to close on time, but there is absolutely no excuse for rude behaviour, shouting at customers, or making people feel unwelcome. I would like this incident investigated by management.

  Worst experience at TK Maxx. I will never shop at this store again. I came from work today hoping to buy some clothes and have a peaceful shopping experience. I understand that I had a bag with me, and I completely understand that staff need to stay alert. However, TK Maxx should consider providing lockers or a secure place for customers to keep their belongings so people can shop comfortably without feeling judged. As soon as I entered the store, one of the staff members started following me around the first floor. At first I ignored it, but the situation became very uncomfortable. The employee kept watching me constantly and observing every move I made as if I was a criminal or a thief. Every time I stopped to look at an item, I felt like I was being monitored. It made me feel embarrassed, nervous, and completely unwelcome in the store. I understand security is important, but there is a respectful way to treat customers. Being followed around the shop made me feel humiliated and uncomfortable to the point that I could not continue shopping. In the end, I decided to leave the store without buying anything. What made the experience even worse was that the same staff member came near the entrance while I was leaving like i steal something. This was one of the most uncomfortable shopping experiences I have ever had.
