As a young teenager with severe anxiety, I was left feeling extremely shaken up, embarrassed, and upset by the way a security guard spoke to me. I picked up a broken eyeshadow that already had a hole in it, and was immediately shouted at with “Miss, you can’t test those.” I tried explaining that it was already damaged, but felt completely dismissed. I understand that rules need to be enforced, but there is a much kinder way to speak to young customers. I left feeling anxious, angry, and very uncomfortable.

I got a couple of items for lower pricing just by finding all of the item I wanted and checking the prices as sometimes they will have a price lower than the same item. This even happened with something where the actual price was lower than the red sticker price on the same item. Store is well organised. Sometimes the queue can be slow. Red/yellow discount stickers tend to be on lower shelfs. In the beauty section check end of aisles for these bargains. Great for gifts and unusual home decor. Decent pet section too.

This was around 1:30 pm today. The gifts were from my friend — she messaged me while shopping for them and gave them to me the next day, so I knew very well that the date on the receipt was the purchase date. He lied to my face simply because he didn’t want to do the slightly longer exchange process. What kind of work ethic is this?
