I am extremely disappointed with how I was treated while returning an item at this store. While I fully understand that staff need to carry out checks, the way this situation was handled was completely unacceptable and felt very judgmental.
After my item and receipt were checked, the staff member unnecessarily involved another colleague, who then repeated the exact same checks. I was then questioned about why I was returning the item. I explained clearly and politely that I had purchased it in a rush for an event and no longer wanted it. That should have been the end of it.
Instead, I was met with a condescending and judgmental response, being asked if I had “seen how fluffy the item was,” as if I needed to justify my decision. Customers should not be made to feel interrogated or judged for making a simple return.
When I stated that I wished to exercise my consumer rights, I was told outright that she “didn’t care” about them. That response alone is completely unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the store.
To make matters worse, the store was busy, and this entire interaction took place in front of other customers. Being questioned and spoken to in that manner publicly was embarrassing and unprofessional.
Staff should not assume wrongdoing or treat customers with suspicion simply because they are returning an item with a valid receipt. This experience felt more like an interrogation than a customer service interaction.
I expect better customers deserve to be treated with respect, not judged or dismissed

My simple transaction of 3 returns and purchase took 45min

Unfortunately, my experience at this clothing store was not good. The staff were not helpful and did not seem willing to assist customers. It felt like the employees need better training in customer service and how to deal with customers professionally.
I had an issue during my visit and could not get proper help from the staff at the store. Because of that, I contacted the company’s head office, and thankfully they responded and helped resolve the problem.
I hope the store management improves the service and provides better training for the staff so customers can have a better experience in the future.
