I spent over 20 minutes trying to explain to the cashier that the balance should be deducted from my gift card to pay for my purchase, not added to it. I clearly explained the process several times, but I was repeatedly told that my card was not working. After moving to another till and encountering the same issue, I politely asked the cashier to scan the card and follow the process I had been describing from the beginning. Once she did, the transaction went through immediately without any problems. I understand that everyone is learning, and mistakes happen. However, situations like this can be very time-consuming and frustrating for customers. I would suggest providing additional training for new staff members or ensuring that experienced colleagues are available to assist when needed. I hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience in the future.
