  [17/08/2026 - around 9pm] I came in today with my friend and we wanted to try some ysl shoes. We saw them at ground floor and the staff there was very helpful and forwarded us to the other ysl location on the 2nd floor where the right shoe size was available. Once we got upstairs, the shoes were ready for my friend to try them on. She does and everything was fine until my friend mentions that she’s happy that she was able to try them on but she might have to order them online. The person helping immediately charged her demeanour and started interrogating my friend about why would she buy them online and pressuring her to get them now and once my friend politely refused she got very dismissive. This experience really put us off because we have never experienced such poor customer service at Selfridges before. Me and my friend have been customers for years so this was very off putting. I don’t think this aligns with the values that I have seen be conducted within Selfridges over the years.

  Terrible service by the lady with glasses in YSL perfumes in selfridges told me that they don’t have enough testers so i can’t really spray or try the perfumes everyday was thinking of buying few of them but the service was terrible never gonna come back to them.I think company should provide them enough testers so clients and people who are interested can freely try

  It's more like a counter than a store, there's one person working and it's not easy to communicate with them, they're very slow.
