I looked at her and said, “No way. It’s around £1,200 in the Cartier boutique.” She then asked her manager, who was standing nearby. He looked at me as if I had no idea what I was talking about and insisted it must be £9,500 because “it’s Cartier.” The funny part? After scanning it on the computer, the actual price came up… £950! I knew from the beginning it was a small Cartier Love ring with no diamonds, which is why I questioned the price. Sometimes customers do know what they’re talking about. A little reminder: never judge people by how they look. You never know their knowledge, experience, or purchasing power. And yes, I bought the ring anyway — even though it was only £250 cheaper than buying it directly from Cartier!
