Please can you help me with this parking charge? I visited Matalan Hayes for the first time on 10 September 2026. My wife had previously parked in the same area without receiving a parking ticket, so she told me it was okay to park there. Because of this, I genuinely believed it was normal Matalan customer parking. We went into Matalan and did not leave the site to go anywhere else. We did not realise that a separate parking payment was required, and I did not knowingly ignore any parking conditions. I have now received an £85 parking charge from Euro Car Parks. I tried to contact Matalan about this, but I was told to appeal directly to Euro Car Parks, which I have done. I would really appreciate it if Matalan could please look into this matter and check the CCTV from that day. It should show that we entered Matalan, went into the store and returned to the car, rather than using the car park for any other purpose. This was my first visit to Matalan Hayes, and the charge was a genuine mistake because I believed I was using the normal customer parking. I would also like to mention that the Matalan staff were very friendly and helpful when I spoke to them. My concern is only about the parking charge and the situation around the parking signage. Please can someone look into this and help me resolve the parking charge?

I spent over £100 at Matalan and went back simply to exchange two school shirts for a smaller size. The shirts were completely new and unused, but because I had lost the receipt, they refused to exchange them, even though I had bank proof of the purchase. I am a regular customer at Matalan, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I was not asking for a refund or my money back — I only wanted to exchange two shirts for a smaller size. The way I was treated was extremely upsetting and made me feel like my custom was not valued at all. After spending over £100, I honestly did not expect such poor customer service over something as simple as exchanging two shirts. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning to Matalan again, and I would not recommend this store to others. Very disappointing customer service.
