  I bought my wife’s engagement ring from Goldsmiths Lincoln just before Christmas 2024, and from the very beginning the service was exceptional. Claire looked after me throughout the process and was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. She took the time to explain everything, including what would happen if the ring needed resizing, which gave me complete confidence in such an important purchase. As it happened, the ring did need resizing, so my then-fiancée and I returned it to the store. Just 4–5 days later, we went back to collect it, where Claire welcomed us with glasses of fizz, a congratulations card, and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. It was such a thoughtful surprise and made an already special occasion even more memorable. It truly was the loveliest experience you could hope for when buying an engagement ring. We later returned to purchase our wedding bands, and this time Hilary looked after us. She made the entire experience just as enjoyable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she took the time to ensure we found the perfect rings. Her warmth, patience, and attention to detail made the whole process feel incredibly personal. From our engagement right through to our wedding, Claire and Hilary have made every visit to Goldsmiths Lincoln a pleasure. Their genuine care, professionalism, and outstanding customer service have made us feel valued every step of the way. I honestly couldn’t recommend the Lincoln store highly enough. I’ve also purchased other jewellery and watches from Goldsmiths Lincoln over the years, and after experiences like this, I can say with complete confidence that I’ll continue to be a loyal customer for many years to come. Thank you, Claire, Hilary, and the whole team, for making such an important chapter of our lives even more special.

  We visited in April 26 to browse wedding ring options, we were greeted and offered a drink and looked after by Arran, he was so helpful and made the experience really enjoyable! He asked all about us and was very accommodating that our noisy 8 month old was with us! We were only really looking but Arran was so brilliant explaining about the different rings and metals etc and I found the perfect one and came away with it on the day! He was so knowledgeable and helpful, thanks so much for a great experience!

  Excellent store, staff are so approachable and friendly and the manager is very genuine. I had some issues with some earrings and they are so helpful and sorted me out no issues! Thank you Lincoln branch!

  Myself and my partner recently bought our wedding bands from the Lincoln shop last year and recently when I went to try it on, i realised I’d probably ordered it two sizes too big. So we went back to the store and saw Fran who served us the first time and explained the situation. Fran was fantastic in getting it resolved, keeping us informed of the progress and sending it back to us quickly. I cannot recommend this store and team any higher. They are brilliant.

  Having visited the Lincoln branch today to ask if anyone could fit a new battery into my (cheap) everyday wristwatch, I was pleasantly surprised when a male staff member agreed to do it straight away. (Other jewellers in Lincoln had said they had to send it away to their workshops). Not only did he replace the battery but he also cleaned it and re fixed a number that had become detached on the face. He found that there was some loose debris in the back of the casing, probably from some residue of dried out lacquer or similar, used in the original design. He removed all he could but because of this, he felt he could not guarantee that, in spite of changing the battery, the watch would continue working for any period of time. As a result he decided to make no charge, either for the new battery or his time spent on it. I cannot recall when I have received such generous and excellent service from any other retailer ever! Thank you SO much to the staff member for his exceptional consideration. Goldsmith’s will remain with me as an outstanding example of customer service and professional integrity, in a world that is sadly lacking in such valuable qualities.
