After that, they asked me to complete a form with my personal details, which I did. However, after collecting all of my information, they told me they had changed their mind and did not want to buy the shoes after all. What I do not understand is why my personal details were required before they had made a final decision. If they were unsure whether they wanted to purchase the shoes, it seems unnecessary to collect personal information first and then refuse the transaction. I found this process frustrating and concerning from a privacy perspective. I would appreciate an explanation of why customer details are collected before a purchase decision has been made.
