  I feel I need to share my experience at Matalan in mount pleasant ,Hull because the repeated treatment I have received from one particular member of staff has become extremely uncomfortable. I’m a Matalan customer and even have a Matalan card. I have interacted with other members of staff at this store many times and have never experienced this kind of attitude from anyone else. This concern is specifically about this one particular staff member. Around two years ago, I came in with my daughter to exchange clothes we had bought the previous day. She questioned me in a way that made a simple exchange feel suspicious. She even questioned my daughter about a hat she was wearing, despite me explaining that we had purchased it the day before and offering to show the receipt. Today, after not seeing her for quite some time, I experienced the same kind of attitude again. I was with my 71-year-old mother, who had taken three pairs of trousers into the fitting room. (She was working at the fitting rooms today 19/09/26 -it was around 1pm) When my mother came out, I politely asked if I could leave the items there. Instead of simply explaining what to do, this staff member spoke to me in a rude and confrontational tone, repeatedly asking where the hangers were and then coming after us to point them out. I have absolutely no problem putting clothes back or returning hangers , I normally do it anyway. It was the unnecessary tone and attitude that was upsetting. What concerns me most is that this is not an isolated incident. I have never had this experience with any other member of staff at Matalan. It has only ever been this particular person, and it has happened on several occasions over a period of time. I cannot claim to prove that racial bias is involved, but the repeated pattern has genuinely made me feel singled out and uncomfortable, and it has made me question whether this could be a factor. Customers deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, regardless of their background. I hope Matalan takes this feedback seriously and looks into the way customers are being treated in this store. I would simply like to shop without being made to feel judged, suspicious or unwelcome.

  You need a new security. He was asking another staff member to take a picture of us me, my girlfriend and her sister at the check out. Apparently we looked suspicious and thinking that we done something wrong when we clearly didn’t do anything my Mrs sister bought something a bra that’s it and apparently we was up to something… it’s jsut not on
