Ignored by staff—lost over £1k sale to a competitor. I’ve visited this branch several times, but today’s service was the worst yet. Staff spent 10 minutes ignoring me to cater to what they seemingly perceived as 'high-value' clients in the suit department. Not even a nod or a 'be with you in a moment.' I walked straight out, went to Hawes & Curtis, and spent over £1,200 where they actually value their customers. Eye contact goes a long way. I won't be returning.

I had a really great experience at Charles Tyrwhitt. I visited for a wedding suit fitting and was greeted straight away by Sean, who was friendly, engaging, and made me feel welcome from the start. I wasn’t entirely sure what I needed, but he guided me through the process and made everything feel easy and stress-free. He even took the time to show me how to properly fold suit trousers, which I really appreciated. What stood out most was that when I returned about an hour later to buy shirts, Sean remembered me, which added a really personal touch. I ended up purchasing five shirts as well, which speaks to how positive the experience was. Overall, excellent service. Professional, attentive, and genuinely personal.

Sent my wife into Charles Tyrwhitt bluewater to get me a shirt. I sent her a photo of the label on one of my existing shirts so she could show the person in store the size. I also sent her a screen capture of the shirt from the website that she showed the person in store. They advised it wasn’t in stock but would order it in for Tuesday. On the screen shot from the website it was priced at £29.95 and they charged her £69.95. I called and asked for it to be refunded and the store manager said it can’t be until the shirt is in stock and I will have to come back In store when it comes in on Tuesday. I rang head office and spoke to a member of staff but he advised I needed the order number from the receipt. I then rang my wife and got her to send me the order number and rang back again and spoke to a member of staff called William but Aparently goes by the name of Edward. I gave him the order number and he said it needs to be my wife that rings back to refund the difference. I then got off the phone and rang my wife again and asked her to call. She called and the lady in customer service said she can’t refund the difference but refunded the whole amount and cancelled the order. She said I can order again online but to be honest after all this I don’t think I’ll be buying anything from Charles Tyrwhitt again. I have closed my account and unsubscribed to all the junk mail they keep sending through the post and email. The customer service operative advised they weren’t doing anything illegal which I agree with, but morally they are taking the mick and just goes to show you how much profit they are earning if they can sell at £29.95 online and £69.95 in store. Is there any wonder why shops are all disappearing. @Nick Wheeler Please don’t send me any more of your catalogues.

The staff were extremely welcoming, and in particular Ralph made the experience of trying on suits for my wedding both enjoyable and stress-free. He was thorough in explaining the different options available and provided clear, knowledgeable guidance throughout the selection process. Although I ultimately chose a suit from another store. But the level of service I received here was excellent, and the team made me feel genuinely comfortable and at ease.
