  The quality of the cloths has improved, has a good choice of holiday wear. Bed line , house accessories,kids cloths, mens wear. All self service tills. Parking is good, just be careful of the pot holes that are about.

  WOW ! What a massive improvement since I last set foot in Matalan about six years ago. We were greeted into the store by the manager who had a huge genuine smile on his face whilst he was energetically assisting customers. Also, whilst we were at the store we were left feeling most impressed by the helpfulness and friendly-ness of Yolanda who went out of her way to help us. It was obvious that she felt proud and happy to work for Matalan. I'm aware that Matalan have experienced most serious financial difficulties but would applaud Matalan's positive approach in dealing with this by investing in their store in Hertford. I suspect this positivity motivates the staff considerably. The stock on display has improved radically, whilst there are still genuine bargains to be found. We found quality flipflops for around £1.70 that can be found elsewhere for about £7.00 on-line. I love the way the store is compartmentalised into snug areas in the store by the taller shelving. I was also very pleased to see the new range of items, for the home, on display. I loved the new area for toys and so much so I got hidden from view from my wife for a while. I liked seeing the 'Matchbox' cars. I also loved the retro t-shirts for men , featuring the Rolling-stones, the Beatles and classic cars. I even bought several for myself. Look forward to coming back soon .
