  Was served by the loveliest most friendly employee with curly dark hair and glasses I think her name began with an L. She made my Tk Maxx experience incredible and was happy to assist me. It's refreshing to see young people who are so passionate about their jobs.

  Taking my autistic son into any shops is a big deal for me and I’m usually very anxious. All was going well until we got to the till and I realised the soft toy he had chosen had a huge rip in it. I asked if someone could get me another one (no way would my son understand that we have to go find a replacement at the back of the store) I explained to the guy behind the till that it wasn’t possible for me walk my son back to hunt for another one as he doesn’t understand when things like this happen. When I said ‘he is autistic’ the guy smirked and said ‘so am I’ I feel there is a difference between a grown adult, able to communicate and perfectly able to understand the world around him who is functioning enough to hold down a job… and a little boy who cannot speak in sentences, still wears a pull up, and has regular violent meltdowns when he doesn’t understand something or feels overwhelmed. All I wanted was for someone to go grab me another soft toy to avoid my son from becoming distressed. I don’t think this person should be using his autism as a ‘clap back’ to me. His autism is very different to a non verbal child and I think he needs reminding of this and to change his attitude

  I would like to bring attention to the disappointing service i received at the hedge end TKmaxx store on 31 August. I was denied a return for pair of wrangler boots that were faulty. A rivet had snapped off a day after purchase and the edges were very sharp, resulting in the laces already becoming frayed. I explained to the cashier that I had worn them in the house trying them on and although comfortable i was unhappy with the faults. The young cashier initially was friendly but ridiculously suggested it is probably like that so that it "adds to a worn look over time." He brought over his manager (I didn't take a name but it was a woman with dark brown hair) who was unsympathetic and dismissive, all she could focus on was that they had been worn in the house and completely ignored the faults i had pointed out. I am extremely disappointed in the service that i received at this store and wish to warn others that if you purchase a faulty item you will not recive any sympathy or they will not honour a refund even within a day of purchase. This has been among the worst service I have recived and I am unlikly to shop in this store again. The staff member and manager in particular would greatly benifit from customer service training and a review of their own returns policy for faulty items.
