- JHJoy HamiltonMay 31, 20261.0Changing rooms incredibly dusty and crumbs on the floor which made for a very unpleasant experience. I will say the shop is very well stocked I can’t fault that. The manager was very passive aggressive when I came in yesterday; me and my friend were at self scan, the scanner stopped working, her colleague told her how to fix it, I told her I can carry on now that it is sorted, she still continued to scan all of my items on my behalf. The card reader was then not working so moved to the next self scan till, she came over once I had paid, took the receipt out of my hand and checked that everything I had in my hand was on the receipt. Really strange experience I am not sure why she felt the need to do that? Will definitely continue to use the Cheltenham matalan going forward, much nicer staff!! Having since read other reviews for this store, I can see that it’s been 3+ years that people have commented on the dirty changing rooms.

Staff were approachable and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. The main downside, however, is the pricing — some items feel a bit expensive for what they are, especially compared to similar retailers. That said, it’s still a good shopping experience overall, mainly thanks to how tidy and easy to navigate the store is.
