- NTNatalie TylerMar 6, 20241.0Went in to the Chelmsford branch today and there were 2 ladies serving in their 50s. When I came in both looked at me up and down. I only had a question regarding my engagement ring and the platinum insurance my other half pays for every month. One of the lady’s was not abit interested and the other said that if I had an account then I would receive vouchers through the post for my ring cleans and sizing etc if not then it’s £49.00 to send off my ring and be cleaned. However, when purchasing this we were informed with proof of purchase or ID shown I would be untitled to unlimited cleans and that I would just need to pop in. So I was abit stunned. Knowing she didn’t really want to speak to me I just left the shop without questioning what she said. The service I have received today is just shocking and don’t feel the need to usually put a complaint in but considering we have paid out in store over £5000.00 to just be looked down at is just not acceptable. Within regards to my question I have found my answer online. ‘From specialist ultrasonic cleaning to expert polishing, at Ernest Jones, we offer complimentary cleaning services on items purchased from us. All you need to do is book an in-store appointment and bring with you your proof of purchase.’ So rude and very disheartening!!

I was then spoken to by ‘Lee’ and he was completely rude to me and my partner accusing us of scratching the item when it had been in the box since I collected it! He then went on to say I can not get a refund as the card numbers do not match! But I had all the paper work and emails to prove that it was paid on the card I have got and it had to have been a mistake on their side of things. He then continued to speak down on me and my partner. Saying he will contact customer services and call me first thing Monday. It is now Friday and I’m having to chase my own refund!! Poor customer service from Lee and will not be going back!
