  I recently went into Matalan for men’s wear and I struggled in finding my size. In which, Neive was very supportive and helped me! Many thanks to her as she is a credit to you all.

  HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE- I went in today and was doing the self check out and paying for everything just looked at the Matalan bag didn’t even want it and this old woman shouted literally screamed from across the shop THAT WILL BE 25p - I didn’t respond to that because both my mum and I were shocked then she shouted again EXIT IS THIS WAY. So RUDE, absolutely no CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THIS SHOP I THINK THE OLD WOMAN WAS A MANAGER OR SOMETHING HERSELF AND PROBABLY THINKS SHES REALLY IMPORTANT and doesn’t need to give respect. SHE NEEDS TO BE TRAINED MORE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. From what I remember she had short brown hair and an oval body shape and just old looking face. Both my mum and I walked out that shop completely blown away by the tone and volume she spoke to us in when no one else was in the shop. And then she started chatting to this other woman and talking about us. This was around 17:30 on Monday 1st June 2026. SORT YOUR OLD STAFF OUT OR TRAIN THEM!!!! I would actually like to go to HR about this but I didn’t catch her name - awful expereince!

  Staff are rude, will talk over you and shout. They gave my parcel to another customer who took it home, opened it and then brought it back. When I picked up the item had multiple scratches but still the lady at the till kept screaming the item is fine, it's just that it went to the wrong customer, it's fine. To that lady and Matalan, No, it's not fine because it's my hard earned money and time at stake.

  I always enjoy shopping at Matalan Gallagher it’s a great place where you can always find something nice at a good price. The store is well organised and welcoming, and the staff are lovely. Emilia, in particular, is always so friendly and helpful every time I see her. She really makes the experience even better. Highly recommend!
