I returned a hair care product in the brand new condition I purchased it in. Cashier suddenly decides “oh you can’t return hair care products, but I’ll do it for you this time.” I asked her to show me where it was written that I couldn’t, as legally you need to be explicit about your returns policy. Obviously, she couldn’t as she had just made it up on the spot. Maybe she wanted me to be grateful that she was doing it “this time”, as this is the only power she has. I called customer service and they were just as confused as I was, and confirmed “of course you can return hair care products, as long as they’re in the condition you bought them in.”

This afternoon, we experienced very rude and inappropriate behaviour from a female-presenting member of staff wearing noticeable makeup. Her repeated looks made us feel extremely uncomfortable and judged. We remained calm and chose to leave rather than confront her, but this kind of behaviour towards customers is unacceptable. I hope management takes this seriously.
