  I had a lovely experience today in the Selfridges store! I was served by Nadia on the Kylie stand, Natalie at White Company and Daisy on Refy. All three ladies were kind and attentive and I felt they went above and beyond in their service. Daisy helped show me the best way to apply my new makeup and helped me pick out the right shade for my skin tone xx

  With my son, we went to the perfume department and we met Jean Paul. Let me tell you, he is the best person for perfume. His passion shines through, he knows everything about perfumes and is such lovely person. If you go there, ask for him. It is an experience 🥰

  I wanted to leave a review for Jean-Paul from the fragrance department at Selfridges Birmingham. He was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to help us. From the moment we spoke to him, he was extremely welcoming, kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. He took the time to explain everything properly and helped me find one of the products I had been looking for. What really stood out was that he remained in contact and let us know when the product became available, which we really appreciated. He also kindly helped us with a few fragrance samples, which made such a difference. When it comes to fragrances, trying something briefly in-store is not always enough you want to wear it throughout the day and see how it settles before deciding, especially when you genuinely enjoy collecting and buying fragrances. Jean-Paul understood this perfectly and made the whole experience feel personal, thoughtful, and effortless. He is honestly one of the best salespeople we have ever come across in that department. He is a real gem to the Selfridges team and deserves as much recognition as possible. Thank you again, Jean-Paul, for your outstanding service.

  My friend and I visited Diptyque Parir counter this afternoon, we had wonderful experiences with Shim today. She is a very supportive and helpful advisor helps me find my own perfume. Shim is so patient and helpful even not feel I annoyed her. I guess I tried several different kind products but she still friendly, polite and keeps her smile to me and my friend. After we purchased, she also introduced new summer product. We can’t wait we visit again.

  As a VSP customer, I understand that complimentary gift wrapping is one of the benefits available to me. Unfortunately, during my recent visit to Selfridges, there was nobody available to assist with gift wrapping. When I asked why this service was unavailable, I was told, "It's half-term." I responded by asking what that had to do with the service being unavailable, at which point the member of staff replied, "People have kids, not that you'd understand that." I was completely taken aback by this comment. Given the circumstances, I could only interpret it as a personal remark directed at me. As a gay man, it felt like an inappropriate and potentially discriminatory comment implying that I would not understand family commitments because I do not have children. Whether that was the intention or not, the remark left me feeling shocked, upset, and unwelcome. I was so affected by the interaction that I left the store immediately. In hindsight, I should have spoken to the store manager at the time, but I was too upset to do so. What should have been a straightforward request for a service included within my VSP membership turned into an experience that left me feeling personally insulted. I would appreciate Selfridges investigating this incident and ensuring that all customers are treated with respect and professionalism, regardless of their background or personal circumstances.
