Fantastic experience when buying my watch. Staff were friendly and helpful and made the whole experience a very pleasant one. Sales staff were not pushy and went the extra mile to get what I wanted the same day despite it not being in stock in store.

I went into this store today, to take one of my current watches in for a service and was greeted with great service and really well looked after.
After a discussion with one of the staff I then went downstairs to have a look at a new watch and was greeted by Viral.
He was an absolute pleasure to deal with his professionalism and knowledge was second to none. He even offered he’s own opinion and views on a certain watch I was looking at and spent quality time and no pressure which I liked. Hands down the best service I have ever received and I will certainly be returning once budget allows.
A credit to the company and a member of staff Goldsmiths should be proud of.
Thank you again :)

After seeing a poster advertising Goldsmiths’ lab-grown diamond collection, I asked a member of staff for the price range of one of the diamond bands that had caught my attention.
The Asian lady who served me appeared completely confused by what should have been a straightforward question. Despite me repeating my request several times, she incorrectly concluded that Goldsmiths “doesn’t sell diamond bands”—an astonishing claim considering they were being prominently advertised on the poster directly in front of us.
Rather than apologising or making an effort to assist, she repeatedly suggested that I should “look it up on the website myself.” I found this dismissive, unprofessional and frankly rude. If customers are expected to research products themselves, it raises the question of what purpose the sales staff serve.
She then asked me to wait five minutes while she attempted to find the information on an iPad herself. It was evident that she lacked even the most basic knowledge of the products she was supposed to be selling.
The overall experience left me extremely disappointed. I felt she made assumptions about my knowledge and purchasing intentions, seemingly because I wasn’t wearing jewellery at the time. Instead of listening to what I was asking, she struggled to understand a simple enquiry and provided inaccurate information before reluctantly trying to find the answer.
For a luxury jeweller, I expect knowledgeable, attentive staff who can confidently discuss the products they sell. Instead, I encountered someone who appeared untrained, dismissive and unable to provide even the most basic level of customer service. It was an embarrassing standard of service and certainly not what I would expect from Goldsmiths.
Goldsmiths offers luxury jewellery and watches from brands like Rolex, Cartier, Tag Heuer, and more, including Certified Pre-Owned pieces.
