I brought back a brand new pair of jeans, all tags still on, w/ the receipt & was told they couldn’t give me a refund or store credit, but I could get the same exact pair of jeans in a different size. I ordered them online & didn’t like the way they fit, held on to them thinking I may change my mind, but didn’t, so why would I want the exact same jean… I would have been happy with store credit to use the money toward another item or a refund. I have spent endless funds with AE for years & years, but I’m over them at this point. There is no good reason for a company this big NOT to give a refund or at least a store credit. AE continues to get a bad name and like most of these companies, they do not care about their paying customers.
