- TVTammy VieraDec 17, 20253.0I went to the Belk in Macon Georgia and went to the customer service (not at all) upstairs and tried to ask where I could find a certain item. I was meet with I'm going to lunch, not a greeting or any courtesy. I go to find the item and was again meet with an I'm closed instead of a greeting or courtesy, I only wanted to know where the elevator was. Luckily I found Autumn downstairs who was beyond helpful. She answered my questions about price and discounts. Autumn cheerfully completed my purchase with a smile and a thank you. I think Belk needs to teach customer service to their cashiers. I'm not sure if I want to go back to that store.

The store has always felt run down, but today’s experience was unacceptable. I tried to get a price adjustment on an item I bought two weeks ago, and the cashier was confused. When she asked for help, Carlton told me he “didn’t know if he could do that.” I then offered to return and repurchase it, and he replied, “We don’t have to put it back out for you to buy.” When I pointed out that there were more on the rack, he accused me of being rude — which was ironic, considering how unprofessional his own behavior was.

She refused to help a customer just because she wasn’t the same color she was, but helped the customer behind her, told her she can go to another register and checked the guy out. When the customer confronted her she laughed at her! Worst customer service ever! She needs to learn customer service and check everyone out or don’t checkout anyone and stop acting racist!
