The reason I am not giving 5 stars is because after I left the place of business, the system would not validate my breath; it continued not to read it. I called the office back on the way home; the lady said I may need to bring it back later. At any rate, it never would read my breath. When I got home, the system gave an error and then said it would lock in seven hours. I'm hoping they will be able to help me straighten all of this out once I can get back over there.

Bring a photo ID and proof of residence in the form of a document verifying your address. How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.

Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
