The Bass Pro ,Macon,Ga. store has very quality products but had more employees than customers today. Employees were standing around in their respective sales areas and occasionally chatting with one another as no customers were present. I know this bc I stood watching as I was waiting to make a return at the service desk near the turnstiles at the front entrance. Only one family came in after me. I was waiting on the single customer service rep who was helping a gentleman with a large order/search for products. I was eventually told by the rep that he’d be with me “ in a few minutes “ more time went by, a manager came to assist the two, finally after longer discussion and the manager had finished her conversation, I had to initiate the request for her assistance as the other guy was still helping the first customer. By that time, I was frustrated. My husband and I have both been good customers since the store first opened as we live nearby. In the past, all we needed to give was a phone number related to our bass pro account to exchange or make any returns, but not today. I wound up getting only a 50% refund on my return and both me and the manager finished our interaction very put off with one another. IF , there were employees that could float on non-busy days to assist where another employee was backed up, most of this bad experience would NOT have had to happen. Are you no longer using bass pro memberships? Why can’t you connect customer phone numbers to the transactions? Not planning on coming back anytime soon.

Word to the wise, beware of housekeeping staff here. Lady was cleaning the lady's restroom told me that I couldn't use the ladies that I had to use the men's. I said I was fine waiting but never mind that, said "I couldn't wait" that there were "chemicals everywhere"... Granted she said that she would check it to make sure that no one was in there. But then after I went in the men's bathroom she didn't sit outside the door or even put her cart in front of it and make sure that a man was not going to come in on me... This could have gone bad if a man walked in on me... This can be quite a scary experience for a woman. Not recommended.
