  I came to do some Christmas shopping and when I was paying for my items, I realized the total was more than it was supposed to be. When I asked the cashier she checked and said she accidentally added a $5 donation to my receipt. Had I not realized then the donation would have stayed. She never asked me if I wanted to do a donation so it was not voluntary. She went ahead and did the reversal , but I am posting this so others can be aware.

  American Eagle is a great place for casual, trendy clothing, especially jeans and everyday tops. The store is usually clean and easy to walk around, and the staff are friendly when you need help. Sales and promotions make it easier to find good deals. Aerie, inside American Eagle, has a nice selection of comfortable loungewear, underwear, and swimsuits. The store is bright and well-organized, and the staff are helpful. Some of the popular sizes can go fast, especially during sales, so it helps to visit early. Overall, both stores are solid stops if you’re looking for casual, stylish clothing and comfy basics.

  I went to american eagle in arbor place mall today. I purchased a pair of jeans that were marked for $39.95, when the cashier rang them up the price was $69.95. It was a huge difference than I expected, I told him they were marked for $39.95 and he dismissed it as an error, never bothered to go look at the price sign I was referring to at all. I didn’t want to make a big deal, but I thought it was unfair that I paid double for something that was marked significantly less. I showed the manager on duty (short, African American woman, I only say that because I didn’t get her name) and she was extremely rude to me. She physically shrugged her shoulders and told me someone put the sign in the wrong place, all while STILL leaving the sign there. I asked her politely if the sign could be honored because that was an error on the company to have it advertised in her store as a different cost and she became aggressive almost yelling at me continuing to repeat the cost of the jeans to me….i don’t feel I was wrong to simply ask that question, and I am appalled that someone in management would act that way. Her customer service and conflict resolution were absolutely terrible.

  Terrible manager!! I went to return something I ordered online and picked up in store. It turns out they gave me the wrong item so it wasn’t the item that was on my receipt when I went to return. Manager had a huge attitude and blamed me for the issue, saying that next time I should “really” check my bag before leaving. I responded and said that i typically go and pick up an order with the expectation that the correct items are given to me. She ended the conversation saying “We’re done talking here”, when I had been nothing but polite yet firm. Having worked in service myself, I have never approached someone rudely as a customer because I understand the stress of the job. However, this type of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. Incredibly disrespectful service and behavior from this manager. I will NEVER come here again.
