- JKJason Kim4 days ago1.0My wife saw a dress she liked, so she tried on the display one at the store, but it looked visibly dirty. When I asked the employee if they had the same size in new condition, they said no. Instead, they offered to give me 10% off if I bought that one. No matter how I thought about it, the dress was dirty and it just didn't feel right, so I left. But it seemed suspicious, so we went back and asked a different employee, who very kindly brought me a new one. I think the first employee I dealt with just didn't want to bother looking for a new one. Then why are you working there? And when I went to the cashier, a woman, and asked if they offered a military discount, she said, "Yeah. Only for people who served in the U.S. military." Isn't that obvious? Did she think that because I'm Asian, I was asking for a military discount for serving in an Asian military? Was it because of my accent? You're Asian too. Not only racist but rude as well. Looking at the reviews, they've apparently had a reputation for being rude for a long time.

I brought friends visiting from Korea, and this experience left them with a bad impression of the U.S., which was honestly embarrassing for me. I held back from arguing to avoid ruining their trip, but this kind of behavior is unacceptable in a manager. On the other hand, the cashier was kind and professional until the end. I didn’t catch her name, but thank you—and I’m sorry you have to work under such a manager.
