Hello, I really enjoy shopping at Belk, but I’m disappointed that the in-store price scanners were removed. Many customers especially older shoppers or those with limited phone service can’t reliably use the app to check prices. Phone reception inside the store is often poor, and not everyone has a smartphone or feels comfortable using one. I hope Belk will consider bringing back price scanners or offering another easy, in-store option for quick price checks. It would make the shopping experience much more accessible and convenient for everyone. Thank you for listening.

We decided to participate in the charity sale. You purchase a coupon book that give you an extra 25% off coupon, and a $5 coupon. They advertise you can shop ahead of time to purchase your items then return to pick them up when the official sale starts. We did this. The ladies checking us out had no idea the shopping ahead of time was advertised and tired to tell us that was not a thing. Then they tried to tell us we can not use the extra 25% coupon on discounted items as advertised. We clarified with both people helping us that we can use rewards bucks with this ad well, but it has to be when you return to pick it up, even though the items are already paid for. These ladies checked us out applying the advertised discount after showing them what is advertised and what it is supposed to be. They take and use the $5 coupon. We return days later to pick up our items. They acted very confused about what we were there to pick up. They eventually found it. To use our rewards cash they had to return and completely recheck out our items. We lost the $5 coupon applied to our items in this process. Remind you, you have to purchase this coupon book, so we bought the $5 coupon, it was applied one time, we did exactly what we were told, and they were not able to honor the $5 coupon. I know it is only $5, but on top of the rest of this disaster, the principle needs to be acknowledged. At this point belks is just stealing money. You can’t even blame the employees not knowing what to do, because that falls on management to educate them about the proper procedures for these events. That said, there is more to the story regarding the employees attitudes. Like we were doing something wrong by following exactly what was advertised and instructed by employees. Anyways to summarize, belks has no idea what it’s doing, don’t participate in these events with them, they stole $5 from me.
