  I had a disappointing experience at JCPenney today. I usually enjoy shopping here because I find clothes that suit me well, but this visit changed my impression. My friend and I were delayed at the fitting room due to a child and reached checkout right at closing time. An employee who identified herself as “Ivana” (no visible name badge) had already closed a register. However, when customers behind us approached, she offered to check them out if they were paying by card—something she did not offer or explain to us. That felt inconsistent and unfair. There were also issues during checkout. One item didn’t scan, so she looked it up online and charged $11.89, even though the in-store tag showed $17. When I asked about honoring the store price or price matching, she refused saying in store and online pricing cannot be matched, which I doubt. Another item my friend wanted had a visible price but no barcode, and instead of helping further, she simply set it aside saying she couldn’t find it. I don’t know but can they not look up adhoc and add based on the price like grocery stores?-question When I asked for her name to provide feedback, she hesitated and questioned why, which felt unprofessional. Only after I insisted did she say “Ivana.” Overall, the interaction felt dismissive and uncomfortable. As a South Asian myself, I felt I was treated differently, which made the experience even more disappointing. I do not want to use certain words so I’m polishing to use as discriminatory behavior. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. I’ve always liked shopping here, but experiences like this make me reconsider coming back.

  Today my sister was assisted by the wonderful Emily! While on facetime with my sister, who was shopping for our upcoming Greece trip, Emily was very helpful, diligent, and the most wonderful personality while she assisted my sister! I have not been to JCP in awhile myself, but I definitely am tempted to make a visit. We need more Emily’s in the retail environment! Keep it up!!! Thank you!

  Customer service has really gone down! Since Christmas of 2025 my parents have been given the run around about a ring my Mom received that needed to be resized. A person from the jewelry department calls and says “your ring is ready” so they travel to Buford from Athens only to be told they don’t have it. This has happened 3 times to my knowledge. At this point a full refund needs to be given and the store needs to be FORGOTTEN!

  This is the second time in two months that I have walked into a filthy ladies restroom. WHY? After covid why would your cleaning crew think THAT is clean? It looks as if the same filthy dirt-filled mop was used to swipe over the toilets. This is unacceptable. It leads me to believe you're another store that will be closing so management doesn't give a darn about cleanliness!

  The womens bathroom stall were horrendous. Had to use out of distance and desperation. The store was dull and messy was barely any stafff on the sales floor. No music playing. Horrible experience at mall of Georgia
