  TLDR/Too Long, Didn't Read: Belk inventory was good, customer service can't take a "no" the first time around. The store itself presents a wide variety of great clothing brands and options. However, the customer service ruins the atmosphere for me. My experience was that I had spent a few minutes browsing for an outfit for a family event. I found a fashionable outfit fairly quickly and walk to the check out. Upon checking out, the sales clerk asks me for my email AND phone number. Personally, I was in a time crunch and wasn't interested, already knowing I didn't have a card with them or any online coupons with them. They slowed the transaction as I begrudgingly scanned the QR code with my phone just as a courtesy. I'm a man, so the men's clothing is on the first floor with incredibly slow reception. After a minute of waiting, I gave up and asked to be checked out only to be met with more waiting. Credit where its due though, the clerk did manage to take 10 dollars roughly off my 100 dollar order by scanning a coupon on their device, so thanks for that. The clerk even had asked me to make a lap around the floor while the link the QR code sent me on loaded. Yeah, no. What should have only taken roughly a minute of my time took me 5 minutes. Thanks for stalling and taking up my time while I was on a time crunch. Really, I'm not that upset about the wasted time. But I don't think I should have to reiterate my stance on signing up for anything for a store I shop at maybe 2 times a year at best. Customer service needs to be trained on how to accept a no and not be so pushy. Good inventory and brands at least though.

  Never have I gone to a Belk and someone not want to help, I have been walking everywhere in the Mall of Ga to check out and no one seems to want to help. As someone who works at customer care this would’ve been looked upon on.

  Tonya Smith was beyond helpful and gave the most outstanding customers service in the ladies dept . If I can rate her 500% I would . Very helpful polite and patient . I can tell she loves her job is very efficient at what she does Hope she is recognized. She defines deserves it and more !!

  I've been dealing with belk for many years. I decided to place an order online for store pick up. Clinique makeup. So I picked it up and took it home and used it. It was something I hadn't used before and after using it I didn't like the product at all. It was their new vitamin foundation. I went back to the store to return it. Only to find out they wouldn't take it back. It was used and they couldn't resell it. The manager told me that's why they give samples of make up to their customers to take home and try first. However, I ordered for store pick up and they didn't give me a sample. Smh. I was very disappointed. These items are expensive and now I have something that I can't use and can't return. This is a heads up for whoever might need it. I'm probably going to go to Dillard's or Macy now.
