Our little Grandbaby had an appointment for a Santa picture and we were invited to join. Although I had been in other Bass shops, I had not seen this one. It was a very busy time for those working but the store was tidy and well put together. There didn't seem to be random items in odd places or piles of stock, cluttering the aisles. Everything was exceptional and the people were friendly. Because our DIL was thoughtful and had made an appointment, we had no wait despite there being a line and lots of excited children. The Holly Jolly Fellow was dressed in his best and tried to make our shy little to grin. Though he did not, he was fascinated enough not to scream or cry, and watch the animatronic deer bop up and down from the safety of his parents' arms. Pictures were had and bought. Things went smoothly. The crowd continued as we explored while waiting for them to arrive. They were nice when of the three of them but when both set of grandparents were added- the photo was a bit wonky. Instead of centering the group, the focus stayed as it was. By doing so, choices are made when displaying it. To include my husband, I must push the picture to the left and use a larger frame with a backset or he half disappears but we keep our clear display of the deer. It might be a wise notion to either move the photographer or -perhaps- warn of the possibility so that it might not be a consideration next year..? Just an idea. After we received our prints, our Grand was ready to go. They left and we continued to explore the store. It was nice to see the array of items and a bit surprising that there were so many brands we knew. Though our holiday shopping was already complete, there were many items that would have been wonderful gifts. It was a pleasant surprise to see the variety as it wasn't what we expected. The men's clothing was very nice. That they had everything from soft, light breathable shirts to heavier and more durable overalls reminded me that there is a place I could go to find these things for the guys in the family. Golfer or hobby gardener, dress or casual. The prices were reasonable. Some were high, some were 'deals'- and it looked like there was a variety to choose from. As a person who likes to touch the fabric before they buy it, to look at the seam to see if it will frey when pulled or tugged, it's a bonus over online purchasing. We were impressed by this store and the hardworking employees. It really is nice to see a store, even with a parking lot full of cars, keep enough employees to maintain a neat store and also have people there to help if you need it. It appeared that those who worked here really liked doing so and were happy to be helpful. We'll be back and we'd recommend someone visiting this store. It was well worth it.

Stood in line for 7-10 minutes waiting behind a couple (white couple) that had a return. Well, once the cashier (I think her name was Tasha) got done with the couple, she walked off from my son and I. She didn't acknowledge us one bit. It was so embarrassing, the customer in the next line said "did she just walk away from y'all" I said "yes". The customer felt so bad, he offered to let us get in front of him". I declined, because it wasn't his fault. But thanked him anyway. I wish I would've gotten his name. Once the line finally got down I Told GABE about the situation, he saw the situation and also said "that was rude". Long story short, I feel like TASHA, was maybe racist. If she wasn't, that's how she made me and my 11 year old feel!! I wish I knew her name for sure, but I know it starts with a T. Her normal work area is in the back, (from what I was told). By the way, GABEs CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT!!!! I'D GIVE HIM 5 STARS!!!!

On November 28, I ordered a deerstand on-line. The price was reasonable and was accompanied by FREE SHIPPING! Once my order was placed and I looked at the order summary, I saw right above the free shipping, a $150.00 adjustment fee. When I asked about this, I was told that this was an extra charge for shipping due to the size and weight of the item. My response was, don't boast about free shipping and then proceed to charge for shipping. On December 5, I was contacted by the shipping company to arrange delivery. It was agreed to schedule for Monday, December 8. I took off work and waited for the delivery. The product was never delivered and I never received a phone call. The next day I called Bass Pro and inquired about what happened. I was told that the delivery was rescheduled for Thursday December 11. Same story, no delivery, no phone call. I called Bass Pro again Friday December 12. I was told that due to weather, my delivery would by on Monday December 15. I asked for and received the number for the shipping company. When I called them, their response "they were unable to place eyes on the item and it was considered lost". They told me that they hadn't heard from Bass Pro and couldn't give me any day to expect delivery and to call Bass Pro and let them know. I called Bass Pro (again) and told them what I was told. They put me on hold and came back saying that the delivery would be Monday December15. I explained to them that it wasn't possible according to the shipper. They suggested that I wait until Monday and call them if it didn't arrive. I finally canceled and completely reordered. Maybe it'll arrive before next deer season. Note: in response to this review, I was instructed to contact customer service via email. They said that they apologize and understood my frustration. Well, that really helped.
