  Tried to do a Christmas return for a gift that was gift. Lady at the counter today was not friendly. Will never buy another purchase from them. I don’t have a receipt since it was a gift

  I had the most pleasant experience preparing for a black tie event. Marcia, the store manager at JC Penny North Point Mall saw me looking and offered to help while other clerks were busy with other customers! I was doubtful that I would find what I wanted. She confidently offered to assist and was knowledgeable. She knew exactly what I needed when referencing jewelry seen online at JCPenney.com at a specific price point!!! I was so excited! She also took me to a register for quick attention to make my purchase. It felt like a real blessing. This was the third store I’d been to looking for a tennis bracelet style. After leaving I came right back to ask for my purchase to be quickly cleaned for an important formal event occurring in two days - Mitra was now available, asked how could she help and cleaned it beautifully while I finished shopping. :-) This was such a pleasant experience at this location this afternoon!

  I tried to place an online order twice for 1 single $97 item for a Christmas gift.I received an email from their fraud department stating they had questions about the order and I needed to call within 2 days to explain or they would cancel the order. I called and explained having the item shipped to the home of where I will be celebrating Christmas and this is a gift for the host, no need for me to have it shipped to my home address. The rep. stated her clarity and that I would receive a follow up call with in 2 days from the fraud department. Four days pass by and I call JCPENNEY and provide the order number and the representative stated the order was canceled due to the suspension of fraud. To all the people of color reading this, it's time we stop giving our hard earned dollars to stores the treat us any type of way. I will NEVER spend another penny, nickel, dime, or swipe a card for JCPENNEY and will encourage my family, friends, church members, coworkers, social media friends, MC members, club members to do the same and pass the word.

  My family, our small puppy, and I came in for a scheduled photo appointment at 12:15 PM. The photographer who took our pictures was fantastic — kind, patient, and professional. She deserves all the praise. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed before the session even began. An older employee wearing a medical boot approached me and was extremely rude, dismissive, and hostile. She lectured me about dogs only being allowed during the last session of the day — a rule that is not listed anywhere on the JCPenney website. I clearly noted during online booking that my dog would be included, and no one contacted me with any restrictions. We were even charged a sitting fee that was never disclosed online. My puppy stayed in my hands the entire time, fully controlled. After her initial confrontation, she didn’t speak again, but the damage was done. Her attitude created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment during what should have been a positive family moment. I’ve used JCPenney for years for all my family photos, but this interaction left me anxious and unsure whether I will return. The unprofessionalism was extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, I contacted the store manager about this incident and received no response. I also reached out to corporate and still have not heard anything back. Great photographer, terrible customer service from management and staff. Very disappointed.

  I have shopped at this mall since I was a child and I have also lived in the area all my life. I was disappointed that the two Indian women in the kids department were so rude, racist and unhelpful with a pickup order I went in for on Saturday. The store was not busy. I asked the first woman if I was in the right place and she sneered at me and went back to sorting something on a cart. I stood around waiting for the second woman to finish with a customer when the first woman suddenly became helpful & cheerful to another Indian customer and helped her right away. The second associate was reluctant to help me and kept giving me the nastiest attitude. No wonder JCPenney won’t be around much longer. To work in such a place, one must be willing to serve ALL CUSTOMERS!! Won’t be back.
