The place itself is cool, but it definitely attracts people who are completely out of touch. Imagine walking into a store and mocking the employees… for what exactly? Just for existing?
Also, I highly recommend grabbing some ice cream and sitting on a bench to people-watch the folks who loudly make racist, bigoted comments about people of color having the “audacity” to wear anything from JCPenney or Macy’s
For instance: An employee bringing their lunch wrapped in aluminum foil? Unacceptable! Truly shocking behavior
Or maybe a little: A Black person wearing an oversized jacket, jeans, white sneakers and god forbid a turban? Obviously they must be homeless
If you have time :)

Parking is a nightmare every time. Use all that revenue to improve the parking situation.

Yalls mall cops are full of it! Maybe start telling yalls residents to not have delivery drivers or anyone else park in the closed parking deck. Your disrespectful short Hispanic looking mall cop knocked on my window to tell me the parking lot was closed. Well if yalls resident didn’t tell me to park there then walk near Jennis Ice scream I wouldn’t have parked there! All of this could have been avoided!

I visit Avalon frequently and have always appreciated the vibrant, family-friendly environment it offers. For that reason, I was deeply disappointed by an incident today involving one of your security guards.
My daughter was approached and told she could not take photos on the property without first filling out a form. This was both surprising and upsetting, as Avalon is known for being a place where hundreds of visitors regularly take and share photos of their experiences as evidence by the photos online attached to Google Reviews. Families, friends, and patrons capture moments daily without any such restrictions.
My daughter was simply standing in an open public area after leaving a store, taking a quick picture with an iPhone, nothing disruptive or commercial in nature. For her to be singled out and confronted in this way felt unfair and unnecessary. There were no posted signs indicating photography restrictions, nor any “employees only” or privacy notices in the area.
It breaks my heart that what should have been a simple, joyful moment turned into one of discomfort and embarrassment for her. I sincerely hope Avalon reviews this matter to ensure consistent and respectful treatment of all guests so that everyone can continue to enjoy the experience equally. If I had the energy I would pursue this further, but it simply is not worth it.
Avalon is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and on Sunday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
