Antiques on the Avenue is truly a high-end antique shop. For 40 years our shop in Winter Park has been a staple for the travelers and residents in our area. We offer shipping for out of town shoppers.
You will definitely find something you like. I stoped by while I was in the area and picked this up while I was there.

Decided to stop by this past weekend while hunting for antiques. This is our first time visiting Antiques on the Avenue. Parking on the street was a tight fit and free, but limited to three hours for your shopping in Winter Park. We were not greeted upon entry, but were acknowledged by the lady behind the counter about half way through the store. The place is packed with items and has a few nice things, but we found it to be very cramped and hard to see anything on the bottom shelves of the display cabinets due to the narrow passageways. When walking by the counter, we noticed a sign indicating a 3.5% fee for using both debit and credit card transactions, which is their right to do; however, I find it interesting that store owners who insist on this charge always opt for the higher end of the percentage, as if they are being charged that amount to have the ability to accept cards for purchases. In this day and age, this extra fee could be the difference between making a sale, or holding on to a very expensive item for an extended period of time. The store does have a display behind the cash register, which is blocked with a do not enter sign and another area, at the back of the store, being used as a photo studio to sell items online: both of which seemed to be a major waste of space considering the narrow passageways. If I owned the place, I would move the desk by the front door in order to greet people when they arrive, which would also allow more display area for items where it is currently located. I would also move the eBay studio to my home and free up even more space and create better visibility and increase sales, at the same time. The chances of selling an item online are lower than selling to an in-person customer who can hold the item in their hand and know whether it is worth the price. But I digress, as it is not my store and my opinion only matters as a customer. Either way, it was worth stopping in, but we did not find that had to have item and will not be adding this store to our favorites list.

Decided to go to Antiques on the Avenue as I am a returning resident coming from out of town. As soon as I walked in, my sister and I whom were the only ones who entered the store greeted the woman at the entrance to what seems like the store owner. No response. Was interested in looking at your antique items, however poor customer service threw me off as soon as I walked in the door, which led me to feel uncomfortable. Please keep this in mind as a service and business owner if you would actually like your customers to be invested to you, give people the time of day if they are going to attempt to give the time of day for your antiques. I would not waste my time in here to be disrespected and treated as someone with only a wallet. What could have easily been a possible good experience turned into a dismissive encounter. DO BETTER!!!
